I thought that I ought to do this months 'blog' early, as Doris tells me off when I'm late doing it. Hi Doris, it's nice to know that someone reads my burbling!
Well it's finally arrived, my new kit has been delivered from the USA and as I sit typing this, she sits there gleaming in my conservatory! The 'maiden voyage' is set for Castle Hall on the 13th (hmmm, good job I'm not superstitious)! I'm like a child on Christmas morning, although I'm told that I will calm down when I reach 21 !!!!!! I'll have to wait and see !!!!!
Wasn't February a month to remember? We had sunshine, rain, snow, fog and even a little sunshine! We had a great night at Newark and i truly think that Lee should be made Lord Mayor of Newark! A return visit to Burnley Mechanics theatre proved to be a really enjoyable night (great crew) and Chelsea went through to the FA cup Quarter Finals! The Georgian at Richmond always is a pleasure to perform at and I have to remember to say that are the 'sweetest smelling crew in the country' (see I remembered). We did two nights at Alnwick and the crowds were great. Home to Kirkby Festival Hall (always mixed emotions here as I think about my dear late Mum and Dad),but as usual a great night! Then on to the Priory at St Neots a new venue for us, lets hope we get back there soon, great night! We finished the month off at Penistone Paramount (what can I say about the wonderful people there)?
We've had a few changes to our March schedule for various reasons, so keep your eye on the gig guide.
Took my Daughter Katherine and Graham (the pyro) to see Chelsea beat Coventry City yesterday and my dear wife is baking butterfly cakes as write, so life is very good today. Anyway that's it for now, however, before I close, I must wish Terry and Lynda a VERY HAPPY RUBY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, all the best from the band, crew and I.
Hope to see you all at a show, until next Month ta-ra Lots of love Pat xxx |
